Cirque d’Art Theatre Performs at the MSPIB Farmers Market

The Main Street Portsmouth In Bloom Farmers Market opens for the season on Saturday, May 18, from 9:00am to noon on the Roy Rogers Esplanade. Opening Day will feature a performances by Portsmouth’s own Cirque d’Art Theatre at 11:00am.

This performing arts troupe specializes in dance, ballet, tumbling, and aerial acrobatics. The award-winning studio serves over 300 students each year, both children and adults. Representatives from Cirque d’Art Theatre will be at the market to answer questions about upcoming Shows, Summer Camps, and registration for Fall Classes.

Cirque d’Art Theatre performances are always a treat, with talented dancers and energetic routines set to music. The performance will be cancelled in the case of rain.

Opening Day of the MSPIB Farmers Market will also be one of the season’s five Market Prize Wheel Days. On these days, MSPIB will be distributing $400 worth of Voucher Cards to be redeemed with Vendors at the market.

Southern Ohio Medical Center and UK King’s Daughters Medical Center are sponsoring the Healthy Bucks Voucher Card program. Healthy Bucks may be used to purchase produce and healthy food options.

Our Scioto County Commissioners are once again sponsoring the MSPIB Farmers Market and they are continuing the successful Scioto Bucks Voucher Card program, established in 2023. Scioto Bucks may be used to purchase items from any Vendor at the market.

There will be two free raffles for Voucher Cards on Opening Day. The Market Wheel prizes include Voucher Cards, MSPIB Farmers Market Tote Bags and T-shirts, Savvy Shopper Downtown Discount Cards, SOMC Tote Bags, Jet’s Gourmet Popcorn, and more!

When Shoppers purchase from three Vendors, they receive spin of the Prize Wheel – where everyone is a winner! Children and Seniors receive a free spin of the Wheel, no purchase necessary.

Market Prize Wheel Days will be held on May 18, June 29, July 27, August 24, and September 28. Family friendly Special Events will be offered each Saturday. The market will be closed on Memorial Day weekend and on August 31 for Portsmouth’s River Days Festival and Parade. MSPIB Farmers Market Closing Day will be October 5.
